CG Project Summary

As I am required to write a summary for my project, here it is with a due sense of dread.

The Final Project for the Computer Graphics class is to create a 3D application primarily utilising WebGL. My group members are myself, Albert Cahyawan, and Shan Valdo. Our group’s idea was to create a space-sim of sort, allowing the player to control a spaceship and fly around the galaxy. The models used in the project are the space plane, which is created in Maya, and the planets which are generated in Three.js and textured in there as well.

For a better idea of the project, please watch this short demonstration:

Pirate Games

Website Name: pirategameshop.com

About this website:

The website is going to be called “pirategameshop.com”. Contrary to the name, the website is going to sell legit copies of video games. The website is going to stock both steam keys and physical copies where available. It will also sell voucher codes for various outlets such as Steam and GOG.

Interaction on this website:

The ordering process is relatively standard. Customers will have to create an account, fill in their information including their steam account. After doing so, they can browse the website for the item they want, which can be categorized by Genre, or item type(Digital, Physical, Vouchers, e.t.c) and add the items they want to their cart. They will then proceed to check out and be given an account number to transfer to and the total they have to transfer. After the customer transferred, they will have to fill a form with the transfer information(account name used, e.t.c), they will also be required to fill in their preferred delivery method and address if they order physical items. After it is verified, the item will be sent and the transaction is completed.

—————————————————————————————————————————————–

We started work on the website by downloading  free bootstrap from the internet, we did this so we don’t have to worry about the visual aspect of our project and could just work on the functionalities. First we started work on the login and sign up page because that is the way we make sure we are able to insert and delete from the database. Once we got the login and sign up going, we started work on the more information focused pages such as “about us” and “contact us”, just to get it out of the way. After work on the information pages we start on the product list and database because we must get that finished and working before moving on to the meat of the project, the shopping cart. The shopping cart took a while to figure out but in the end everything worked as intended, there were a few flaws but overall it’s functional. Once the shopping cart and checkout was done we did some visual edits and inserted the images for the games. However, we were not finished because of feedback from Mr. Bahana we revised some things, especially the admin page, and allowed the admin to add and remove products; a functionality that we previously did not allow.

Hello world!

Welcome to Binusian blog.
This is the first post of any blog.binusian.org member blog. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!
Happy Blogging 🙂

Hello indeed.

This is my second attempt at a blog, the first one apparently had the wrong name. I don’t really have much to say on here, I made this blog more because of being required to than actual enthusiasm. I’m going to post some of my projects here, and possibly some other things.

And while you’re here, go check out the computer science website .
